A few misc. projects

I wanted to get these posted before they totally escaped my memory!!  These are a mix of cards I taught or projects we completed at class as well as cards I created for various people.  I have to confess, most of these are CASes.  If I remember where I saw the idea, I'll try to link back to it.

Here's my inspiration: Folded Christmas Tree Card

Unfortunately the link to Here doesn't work any more!

I made a bunch of these in different colors.  Shown is Thistle  I made some as sympathy cards as well as birthday.  Loved the monochromatic theme!
Here's where I inspiration for this: Predominately Purple
I used CTMH Have a Happy Day for both the sentiment and frame.
This was a technique card: distress inks and heat embossing.
I love CTMH's shimmer trim.  It's adhesive backed and goes on so nicely.  Plus who can resist all that sparkle!!  I used Teal Shimmer Trim
I used CTMH Dotty For You paper!

Totally loved this CTMH Hostess Stamp and totally CASed THIS

My mom came up with this design from this inspiration.  Really love the texture on the Cricut Art Philosophy acorn!
I love making shaped cards and this one is super sweet for the fall.  I used my Cricut Art Philosophy Collection to cut out the card, leaves and sentiment shape.
Gotta Love Mary at Cardz TV

Gotta love Dawn too!  Birthday gift card holder.
I loved this set from Lisa and totally re-created it!
CTMH Your Own Kind of Wonderful, Paper, bags and inks!

Fall themed cards.  Used left over Cricut Art Philosophy leaves.

Lawn Fawn...need I say more! Birthday card.

Stampendous...just loved this guy!  I used these as thank you's for Christmas gifts for the kiddos.
Whew!  Glad I got these up!  Nice trip down memory lane...so many talented folks out there willing to share with us creatively challenged folks!!  I, for one, am very thankful!

A Mother's Day Card and Father's Day Card

I just wanted to share the cards we made at the class I teach at my church.  Since Mother's and Father's Day are both quickly approaching, I thought it would be a good idea to get a jump start on them.  My mom sent me a link to this great tutorial for the Mother's Day card.  Of course, I had to use some of my great Close To My Heart products.  We used Hollyhock cardstock and matching Hollyhock ink as well as Sweet Leaf ink and Canary ink.  For stamps, we used this totally fabulous stamp set: Happy To Be Friends  This was prefect to be able to supply some alternative sentiments in case some of our older folks needed to change things up.  And of course, for the flower, we used Pretty Petals, which coordinates beautifully with our Art Philosophy Cricut Collection.  I also created another sample using Glacier ink.  I think they equally look good.

For our Father's Day card, I used this fabulous Stamp of the Month for April: Typed Note
This set is only available for purchase during the month of April.  If you spend $50, you can get this awesome set for only $5!!  It has so many sentiments and works perfectly for masculine cards...I have such a hard time coming up with manly cards that I love having this in my crafting arsenal!!
I actually got the idea for the message to pull out as a "secret" message from another fabulous CTMH Consultant.  I used our black archival ink for this one.  Inside, I stamped "You're the BEST!", by masking one of the other sentiments that comes on this set.  I love that you can make them work for you!  There was some fussy cutting on this one, but overall not too bad!

Easter Cards

Here are a couple of Easter cards I taught at my church class.  I wanted to teach about heat embossing as well as cover a couple of different coloring mediums.  We embossed the cross and sentiment with gold embossing powder.  We also colored it in with colored pencils and a Dove blending pen.  For the second card, we stamped on watercolor paper and used water color pencils to color the image in.  We then sprayed some glitter over the entire card...it gave it a nice subtle shimmer.  The cards ended up being a little more time consuming that I thought.  However, I still had the ladies make a small basket full of some Easter treats.
The daffodils on the pink card are from CTMH A Little Note

The sentiments are from Sweet & Sassy stamps

CD Calendar

Well, I have resigned myself to the fact that I just don't have the time to keep up a daily or even weekly blog post.  I'm going to make a concerted effort to post at least monthly.  I teach a card class on a monthly basis, so I'd like to be able to keep up with at least posting those creations!

Unfortunately, I have a back log of projects now to post!

For our January class, I wanted to make a refill for the CD calendars we made last year.  I used the template from Here and lots of my CTMH stamps (plus a few Lawn Fawn and other misc.).  I put the links under each picture.  This will be picture heavy since there are 12 months!
