Hi all!

Today I'm playing catch up again!  I'm really trying to be better about posting my crafty creations.  I like being able to document them...so they are not just forgotten in my card boxes somewhere.  As I was thinking about what to do for the last card class before the summer break, my mom came across this braided card tutorial ...so I decided that we would create a theme of "fun folds" for our class.

Next, I found this folded paper frame tutorial and had some sweet seashell stamps that worked perfectly.  I even made my own B&T (background and texture) paper by stamping with versamark ink.  I used a sentiment from one of the stamp set from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Collection.

Lastly, I decided to make this Twisted Gift Card Holder.  I sealed the front so I only had one pocket on the inside.  Also, the diecut and sentiment were from CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Collection.

I think the ladies had fun and they weren't too complicated.

Mother's Day and Father's Day gift ideas

Hi all,

I'm so far behind in posting my most recent crafty creations...so, of course I now have to play catch up.

Here's a very easy and cute Mother's Day gift, especially if you have a lot of Mother's to celebrate!
I diecut and stamped the sentiment with my CTMH Art Philosophy Collection as well as the doily.  And I admit, I did not come up with this myself...I found this idea on one of our CTMH blog hops from Here.

And of course, we cannot forget the Dad's...what man doesn't like a little chocolate...well, mine doesn't, but if it's full of nuts, then he'll eat it.  That's why his was a Mr. Goodbar!  I cut these ties from the CTMH Artiste Collection.  The ones we made during card class were smaller chocolate bars and had mustaches instead...so cute!

Lastly, here are a couple of Father's Day themed cards I taught to the ladies at church.  I followed this fabulous tutorial on how to do a sailor's knot on a card.
And I couldn't resist making these cute Hero cards...the card base was cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut Cartridge.  Love this cute Lawn Fawn set too...did you guess it's a Halloween set?!?

Baby Shower projects!

I've been MIA because I've been so busy working on baby shower projects!!  My sister is having her first baby and we are all very happy for her and very excited to meet the new member of the family.

My Cricut really makes party planning so much fun.  I won't say it's any less work, because many times, it's more work than just going to the store to buy pre-made stuff...but it is so gratifying and so very much more personal (and usually much cuter!!).

We (my mom and I) decided that her theme was going to be Onesies...so we used our Gypsies to weld some onesies together from the Wrap It Up Cricut Cartridge to create a Onesie invitation and coordinating thank you card.  I also used the onesie for the front cover of her guest book and my mom made the baby a beautiful banner to hang in her room (which we hung over the gift table).

My mom and I made the little shoes from the CTMH Cricut Artiste Collection as the favors...filled with trail mix and M&M's.  They came out so cute, even if I do say so myself!  One thing we learned...do not store them too long because the raisins in the trail mix can bleed through the paper. Thankfully that only happened to a few of the shoes we made.  My sister in law also made a Onesie cake as well.

I've attended a few showers where some version of a book poem was included with the invitation, requesting a book instead of a card.  So we decided to do that and also tie it into the theme by adding books as part of our centerpieces, which were of course, mini diaper cakes.  I also made cupcake wrappers, from the Cricut Lite Cupcake Wrappers and Cricut Life is a Party cartridge and cut some food plaques from the Cricut Wall Decor and More cartridge.  I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

I originally made this card at a class I attend once a month Here.  However, I was not able to stamp the sentiment before I had to leave, so I took it home to complete.  I love how this stamp fits perfectly and the color matches the paper very nicely!

Believe in Yourself Stamp Set

Did you know you could do this to a toilet paper roll?

I confess, I did not make this!  My mom must have been saving these toilet paper rolls for some time, as she whipped out these cute babies at our last craft night for all the ladies and also gave them out to the grandkids for Easter...how ingenious.  She did assure us that they were "clean" but I did notice all the candy was individually wrapped! :-)

Marriage, New Life and Death!

I recently had to make a wedding card and a "you're pregnant" card and several sympathy cards...doesn't that just make you think about how short our time is on this earth!  We need to make sure we are glorifying God with our lives...everyday!

More Cards

Here are a few cards we created at our February Women's Craft night at church...I wanted to teach the ladies how to make an easel card.  These were stamps that my dear friend bought at a yard sale...two ladies who came each got to take them home as door prizes!

Also, I just wanted to share this Valentine Card I made my loving hubby! Love these cute birds from Lawn Fawn!

CD Calendar

I am so behind on posting projects that I've created this past year...this is one I had been wanting to do for quite a while, so I decided to create them for our January craft class at the church.  We ended up pooling our seasonal stamps to make it come together.  It took a considerable amount of time to plan, prep and actually complete.  Lots of stamping and inking.  I used the files from Here for the calendars.

Card In A Box

These have been popping up all over the place.  I really wanted to make one and had the perfect excuse...my grandmother turned 90 this past winter.  Quite an achievement!!  I put my Gypsy to good use.  I used the hide contour button to make the pink background behind the "90"solid by "hiding" the "POW" from the Indie Art cartridge.  I also used the Cricut gel pens to "write" the happy birthday sentiment and then cut it out.
Cupcake from Doodlecharms.

The balloons, Happy Birthday, horn and hat are all from Celebrations.

Some Crafty Creations!

It's been awhile since I posted any projects that I've done.  Every month I teach, along with my mom and dear friend, a women's craft class at my church.  Here's April's projects.  The first is a Mother's Day treat card.  Perfectly holds 5 Hershey Nuggets...all mom's deserve some chocolate on Mother's Day!  I worked off a template I found Here
